ABOUT WILD ROLLERS
One of the main aims for Wild Rollers is to encourage people to enjoy and spend time in the great outdoors. Multiple studies have shown this can provides physical and mental health benefits.
- 1 Affordable fun, keep your rollers and come back again
- 2 We promote being outdoors and enjoying the fresh air
- 3 Helping people to get moving – exercise can be dull, marble run adventures are not.
- 4 Fun for all ages, one for the whole family
- 5 Giving kids a different experience
- 6 With 12 different rollers to choose from, everyone will want to take part
- 7 Have a break from screens and embrace the outdoors!
FUTURE FOREST RUNS
Our first pilot project is in Bracknell, at Swinley Forest around The Look Out Discovery Centre. Initially, we will set up four runs.
If these prove successful and we gain permission from the Crown Estate we'll install another 8-10 around Swinley Forest to create a walking trail linking the runs.
In the future we’ll be creating trails through other forests around the UK, with each run spaced around 300 meters apart, therefore encouraging little ones to take walk (maybe without even noticing that they haven’t seen a screen for an hour!).
THINKING OF HAVING A MARBLE RUN?
- 1 Great for creating footfall
- 2 Keeps visitors at your location for longer
- 3 Promotes being outdoors
- 4 Gets people to move more – potentially around your whole site
- 5 Minimal space needed
- 6 Electricity for a vending machine is the only utility we’ll need
- 7 Simple to install
- 8 It’s fun, lively and not a screen!
What it entails
From a Wild Rollers point of view, we need an electrical connection for a roller vending machine, space for a shed size wooden hut that will house the vending machine and small areas for the roller runs.
We complete the rest of the work – ready the spaces for the runs and the ball collection hut, assembly of the huts and runs, installation and signage of all required items.
